Her Honour Judge Angelica Mitchell

Her Honour Judge Angelica Mitchell, a Circuit Judge since 1998, Bencher of Gray's Inn, died at her home 7 February, 2006. She was 57.
She was born 21 August, 1948, the daughter of Sir George Mitchell, CB, QC (Scotland), by his wife Elizabeth Leigh Pemberton, scion of the BLG family of Leigh Pemberton, of Torry Hill, and was educated at Putney High School; Inns of Court School of Law.
Career:- ->Called to the Bar at Gray's Inn, 1972; an Assistant Recorder, 1992-95; a Recorder 1995-98; Member of the Steering Group Advisory Committee for Diploma in Forensic Pyschotherapy, Portman Clinic, 1998- ;Member of the Board, Hampstead Theatre, 1999-; Trustee, Noel Buxton Trust, from 1990; Patron, Art Room, Oxford, from 1992.
She married in 1981,James Nicholas Browne, QC, a Recorder since 1993, by whom she has 2 daughters, Emily and Cassie. She was a sister of His Honour Judge Fergus Mitchell.
The funeral takes place Friday 17 February, at The Temple Church, Temple, Fleet St, London.
