Lady Dillon, who died at Cavan General Hospital, 1 October, 2005, aged 89, was the widow of Sir Robert William Charlier Dillon, 8th Baronet (cr. 1801) (a Baron of the Holy Roman Empire, cr. 1782), who died in 1982, when the baronetcy became extinct.
She was the former Ella Synolda Augusta Cholmondeley Clarke, descended from the Barons Hemphill, daughter of Cecil Butler Cholmondeley Clarke, of The Hemitage, Holycross, Co Tipperary, and married Sir Robert in 1947.
The funeral takes place at St Mary's, Donnybrook, Dublin, Friday 7 October, 2005.
