The engagement was announced 9 December, 2005, between Alexander Blane Crichton-Stuart (b. 1982), youngest son of the late Lord James Charles Crichton-Stuart (1935-82), by his 2nd wife Anna-Rose Bramwell (now Mrs Peter Knatchbull-Hugessen, of Ropley, Hants, wife of a scion of the Barons Brabourne); & Susannah E. Collett, daughter of Mr & Mrs Alan Collett, of East Meon, Hampshire.
Alexander Crichton-Stuart is a grandson paternally of the 5th Marquis of Bute.
