Robin David Oswald Petre, who died 29 October, 2022, at Wellington, New Zealand, aged 80, was a scion of the Barons Petre.
He was born 19 April, 1942, son of Major Myles Seymour Edward Petre (1913-1942), and his wife the former Audrey Catherine Chaworth-Musters (1915-1982), scion of that landed gentry family; and married 27 Apr, 1968, Cecily Constance Scrope (1940-2015), scion of that landed gentry family, of Danby, elder daughter of Simon Scrope (1910-91), by his wife the former Constance Mary Weld (1907-87), scion of that landed family, by whom he had issue, two daughters, Diana (born 14 Feb 1969), and Nicola (born 2 July, 1971).
