The Lady Rose Diana Musker [nee Lambton], who died 5 April, 2022, aged 69, was a scion of the Earls of Durham.
She was born 26 November, 1952, the third daughter of Antony Claude Frederick Lambton, MP, styled Viscount Lambton [he disclaimed the [6th] Earldom of Durham for life in 1970] [1922-2006], and his wife the former Belinda Bridget Blew-Jones [1921-2003]. Her siblings were [1] Lady Lucinda Lambton [b 10 May, 1943], the writer and broadcaster; [2] Lady Beatrix Lambton [b 23 July, 1949], who married Guy Nevill [1945-93], a godson of the Queen and heir to the title Marquess of Abergavenny; [3] Lady Anne Lambton [b 4 July, 1954], an actress; [4] Lady Isabella Lambton [b 17 May, 1956], wife of Sir Philip Naylor-Leyland, 4th Baronet; and [5] Edward Lambton, 7th Earl of Durham [born 19 Oct, 1961], married to Marina Hanbury [b 26 March, 1982], sister the Marchioness of Cholmondeley [b 15 March, 1984], &c.
Lady Rose married 22 January, 1979 [divorced 1989], as his second wife, [Herbert] Oliver FitzRoy Musker [born 21 November, 1948], scion of that landed gentry family, second son of Major [Anthony] Dermot Musker [who died as the result of an accident, 8 Aug, 1959], and his wife the Hon Mary Angela FitzRoy [1919-1984], scion of the Viscounts Daventry, descended in the direct male line from the Merrie Monarch King Charles II.
Lady Rose is survived by two sons, Claud James FitzRoy Musker, and Samuel Anthony Musker, and by a daughter, Lily Mary O. Musker.
