The engagement was announced 9 April, 2022, between Captain David Bairstow, younger son of Mr and Mrs Roland Bairstow, of Cockle Bay, Auckland, New Zealand, and Anna Rebecca Watson Stewart [born 1 May, 1987], daughter of Sir [John] Simon Watson Stewart of Balgownie, 6th Baronet [born 5 July, 1955], of Chiswick, London, and his wife the former Dr Catherine Stewart Bond.
