Sir Christopher Slade, who died 7 February, 2022, aged 94, was a judge who served as a Lord Justice of Appeal, 1982-1991.
Christopher John Slade was born 2 June, 1927, son of George Penkivil Slade [1899-1942], and his wife the former Mary Albina Alice Carnegie [1896-1988]; and married 30 December, 1958, Jane Gwenllian Armstrong Buckley [born 22 May, 1936], daughter of the Rt Hon Sir Denys Burton Buckley [1906-98], a Lord Justice of Appeal 1970-81, scion of the Barons Wrenbury, by his wife the former Gwendolen Jane Armstrong-Jones [1905-1985], an aunt of Antony Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon, GCVO [1930-2917], &c, by whom he had issue, a son, Richard [b 12 July, 1963], and three daughters, Lucinda [b 15 Nov 1959], Victoria [b 15 Jan 1962], and Amelia [b 4 Oct, 1966].
