Christine, Lady Erskine-Hill, who died 3 February, 2022, aged 98, was the widow of Sir Robert Erskine-Hill of Quothquhan, 2nd Baronet [1917-89].
She was the former Christine Alison Johnstone, born 12 January, 1924, daughter of Capt Henry James Johnstone [1895-1947], scion of that landed gentry family, and his wife the former Alison McIntyre [1900-1984], scion of that landed gentry family; and married 7 August, 1942, Robert Erskine-Hill [born 6 Feb, 1917], son of Sir Alexander Galloway Erskine-Hill, 1st Baronet [1894-1947], MP for Edinburgh North 1935-45, and his wife the former Christian Hendrie Colville [1888-1947]. Her husband succeeded his father in the baronetcy, 6 June, 1947, and died 10 July, 1989.
Lady Erskine-Hill leaves issue, two sons, Sir Alexander, the 3rd Baronet [b 1949], and Henry, and two daughters, Carola, Countess Cowley, widow of the 7th Earl, and Alison.
