_.The Baroness O'Cathain, who died 23 April, 2021, aged 83, was a Conservative member of the House of Lords. She was Managing Director of The Barbican Centre 1990-95.
She was born 3 February, 1938, daughter of Caoimhghin O'Cathain and his wife Margaret. She married in 1968, William Bishop [who died 2001].
She was educated at University College, Dublin.

She was appointed OBE in 1983.
She was awarded a life peerage in 1991 and was gazetted in the name, style and title of Baroness O'Cathain, of The Barbican in the City of London.
Her home for many years was at Arundel, West Sussex.
