_. Peter Geoffrey Edmund Nathaniel Sebag-Montefiore, who died 25 March, 2021, aged 91, was a scion of that landed gentry family, sometime of East Cliff Lodge.
He was born 29 June, 1929, son of Maj. Geoffrey Edmund Sebag-Montefiore [1893-1943], and his wife the former Elizabeth Grace Troyte-Bullock [1898-1975]; and married 17 Sept, 1960, Joanna Ethne Julia Poett [1938-2020], daughter of General Sir [Joseph Howard] Nigel Poett, KCB, DSO [1907-91], and his wife the former [Ethne] Julia Herrick, by whom he had issue, three sons, Geoffrey [born 1961], Edward [1963-86] and Nigel [born 1965], and two daughters, Louise [born 1962], and Claire [born 1969].
The elder daughter married in 1987 [div 2002], [John] Damian Androcles Aspinall, the businessman and conservationist.
Peter Sebag-Montefiore's wife died 18 June, 2020, aged 81.
