_. David Thomas Wale Altham, who died 8 February, 2021, aged 75, was a scion of that landed gentry family, of Timbercombe.
He was born in 1945, son of Group Capt John Barrett Altham [1909-2000], head of the landed family, and his wife the former Hon Elizabeth Oona McNair [1913-1992], daughter of the 1st Baron McNair [1885-1975].
