_.Sir Mathew Wilson, 6th Baronet, OBE, MC, died 5 December, 2019, at Woodstock, Vermont, United States. He was 84.
He was born 2 Oct, 1935, son of Anthony Thomas Wilson [1908-79], and his wife the former Margaret Holden [died 1980]; and was a grandson of Lt-Col Sir Mathew Wilson, 4th Bt [1875-1958].
He succeeded to the baronetcy on the death of his uncle, Sir Mathew Wilson, 5th Bt, in 1991.
Career:- President of Dolphin Voyaging Inc; Brigadier, KOYLI, retired 1983; Executive Director, Wilderness Foundation [UK] 1983-5; MC [1972]; MBE [1971]; OBE [1979].

He married 1 december, 1962, Janet Mary Mowll, daughter of E.W. Mowll, JP, by whom he had a son, Mathew, and a daughter, Victoria. The son, Mathew Edward Amcotts Wilson, born 13 Oct, 1966, succeeds as 7th holder of the baronetcy.
