_.The Rev [Frederick] Michael Anderton, who died 28 April, 2020, aged 88, was descended from the Hastings family, Earls of Huntindon.
He was born in 1931, son of Colonel Geoffrey Anderton, OBE [1902-81], by his wife the former Edyth Cecile Hastings [1910-1994], scion of the Earls of Huntingdon, daughter of Hans Francis Hastings [1865-1933], by his wife the former Edyth Mary Spratt [1871-1959]. He married 1977, [Angela] Robin Coulson [born 1947], by whom he had issue, a daughter, Sophia.
