_. Jeremy Charles Browne, who died 1 May, 2020, aged 90, was descended from the Hoare landed gentry family.
He was born in 1929, son of Lieutenant-Colonel William Percy Browne, MC [1893-1972], by his first wife the former Richenda Margaret Hoare [1900-53], daughter of Maj Robert Basil Hoare [1870-1931], by his wife the former Olive Elizabeth Emily Orde [1870-1947].
He married 1953, Jennifer Cherry Ryder [born 1929], scion of the Earls of Harrowby, daughter of Maj Dudley Claud Douglas Ryder [1901-86], by his first wife the former Nancy Edith Baker [1907-85], by whom he had issue.
