_. Joan Mary Erskine died at Guernsey, 20 April, 2020, aged 97.
She was the former Joan Mary Bettington, daughter of Brigadier James Brindley Bettington, DSO, MC, and was born in Bombay, 22 Oct, 1922; she married firstly, Oct 1947, Anthony R. Gilmour; married secondly, 1970, as his second wife, ,David Alexander John Erskine [1921-2006], son of the Hon Alexander Penrose Forbes Erskine [1881-1925], by his wife the former Irene Annette Campbell [1887-1968].
Her second husband was a grandson of the 11th Earl of Mar & Kellie.
