The engagement was announced 5 September, 2026, between Jonathan George Standeven (born 1983), youngest son of John Denis Standeven, of Sinderby, North Yorkshire, and his wife the former Sarah Joanna Scott Cobb, & Violet Selina Peto (born 15 February, 1984), scion of the Peto baronets, third daughter of Jonathan Basil Moreton Peto (born 9 December, 1942), of Great Bealings, Suffolk, and his wife the Hon Selina Lilian Hughes-Young (born 13 March, 1944), daughter of the 1st Baron St Helens (1912-1980).
