The engagement was announced 11 September, 2026, between George Charles James Minshall Buchan (born 1994), son of Matthew Minshall and his former wife the former Sharon McArthur, and Anna Fugard, the only daughter of Robert and Gwenyth Fugard.
George's mother, Sharon, daughter of Capt George McArthur, of Holt, Norfolk, married firstly, 1993, Matthew Minshall (born 1958), and married 2ndly, 11 September, 1998, [John] Charles Augustus David Buchan of Auchmacoy (born 1 March, 1963), son of Capt David William Sinclair Buchan of Auchmacoy (1929-2015), and his wife the Hon Blanche Susan Fionodbhar Scott-Ellis (born 6 Oct, 1937), daughter of the 9th Baron Howard De Walden (1912-1999).
