The engagement was announced 26 September, 2026, between William J. Peake, son of Mr and Mrs Edward Peake, of Strathdon, Aberdeenshire, and Alice Charlotte Strang Steel (born 1993), scion of the Steel baronets, eldest daughter of David William Strang Steel (born 24 October, 1961), of Banchory, Kincardineshire, and his wife the former Fiona Louise Legge.
Alice is a great-granddaughter of Sir Samuel Strang Steel, 1st Baronet (1882-1961)
