King's cousin: Nicholas Brandram.

Nicholas Brandram, a second cousin once removed of King Charles III, and a descendant of the Greek royal family, was found dead at his home, 15 September, 2026. He was 44.

Brandram was the man suspected of pushing a woman into the path of a bus during a run on Putney Bridge in west London in 2017. He was under investigation in the so-called "Putney pusher" case, after CCTV went viral showing just how close the woman came to be run over by the 430 bus, in a seemingly unprovoked attack. He was arrested in June this year on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm. Last week, the Metropolitan Police confirmed he had been released under investigation. The banker was found dead in his home on Tuesday evening. The Met said his death was being treated as "unexpected, but is not believed to be suspicious".

Capt Nicholas George Brandram, late the Scots Guards, was born 23 April, 1982, descended from the Royal House of Greece, the only son of Richard Paul George Andrew Brandram (1948-2020], by his former wife the former Jennifer Steele (b 1951 - now Mrs Robert Enslow).

He was twice married. His first marriage to Katrina Davis, daughter of Mr & Mrs Jim Davis, of Holland Park, ended in divorce in 2014. He married 2ndly, 17 December, 2021, Sophie Amelia Ferguson [born 13 Oct, 1992], daughter of Jakes D. Ferguson, of Hampshire, and his wife the former Mary V. Mann, by whom he has issue, a son, Felix Robert, who was  born 29 May, 2023. He was separated from his second wife a year ago.

Capt Brandram's paternal grandmother was HRH Princess Katherine of Greece & Denmark (1913-2007), who married Richard Campbell Andrew Brandram (1911-94) and became (by courtesy of King George VI) 'Lady Katherine Brandram'.
