The engagement was announced 19 September,, 2026, between Simon Douglas Nicholson (born 1989), eldest son of Frank Nicholson (born 11 February, 1954), of Co Durham, and his wife the former Lavinia Margaret Grace Stourton (born 1 October, 1962), scion of the Barons Mowbray, Segrave & Stourton, and Henrietta Sarah Grant (born 1989), younger daughter of Richard J. Grant, of West Sussex, and his wife the former Lucinda Mary Rowe (born 1958), descended from the Johnstone baronets.
