James Alexander Whitson, who died 10 August, 2024, aged 51, was a grandson maternally of Sir William Wrixon-Becher, 5th Bt.
He was born in 1973, son of Gordon M.A.P. Whitson (who died 1974), and his wife the former Susannah Elizabeth Wrixon-Becher (born 27 January, 1948), daughter of Sir William Wrixon-Becher, 5th Baronet (1915-2000). He married in 2001 (div) Tamara O'Connor, daughter of Francis O'Connor, by whom he had issue, a son, Wilf, and two daughters, Kitty and India.
