Jane Claire Warde-Aldam, who died 24 July, 2024, aged 96, was the widow of Christopher Warde-Aldam (1928-1995), scion of that landed gentry family of Hooton Pagnell Hall.
She was a scion of the Ashton landed gentry family, born 22 April, 1928, the elder daughter of Sir Hubert Ashton, KBE, MC, MP (1898-1979), and his wife the former Dorothy Margaret Gaitskell (1899-1983); and married 10 September, 1955, Christopher Ralph Warde-Aldam (1928-1995), scion of that landed gentry family, second son of Lieutenant-Colonel John Ralph Patentius Warde-Aldam, TD (1892-1973), and his wife Joyce Etheline (1891-1973), widow of Richard Edward Clifton Gordon, and daughter of Percy Sandford Nevile (1840-1914), head of that landed gentry family of Skelbrooke Park, Yorks, and his wife the former Etheline Radcliffe (1852-1941).
She leaves issue, two sons, Guy (born 24 June, 1958), and Mark (born 28 September, 1960), and a daughter, Annabella (born 5 July, 1956).
