Gertrude Joan Cline, who died 8 July, 2024, aged 87, at Manitoba, Canada, was a scion of the Barons Belhaven & Stenton.
She was born in 1936, third daughter of Richard Terrick Hamilton (1912-2003), and his wife the former Muriel McLeod (who died in 1997); and married in 1955, Neil Cline (who died in 2020), by whom she had five children.
