Cecilia Louise Somerville Hamilton (née Catt), who died 24 January, 2023, aged 82, was a descendant of the Barons St John of Bletso; born in 1940, daughter of Major Charles Erling Bernard Catt (1908-42), and his wife Cecil Elinor Katherine Margaret Somerville (1913-1999), scion of the Somerville baronets; and married 30 July, 1966, William Alexander Hubert Hamilton (born 22 Feb, 1941), scion of the Hamilton baronets, of Preston, son of Robert William Hamilton (1905-1995), and his wife the former Eileen Hetty Lowick (1916-1997), by whom she had a son, Alexander (born 25 June, 1967), and a daughter, Anna (born 16 May, 1969).
