Margaret, Viscountess Stuart of Findhorn, who died 5 January, 2023, was the third wife and widow of the 2nd Viscount Stuart of Findhorn (1924-99). She was 90.
She was the former Margaret Anne Du Cane, she was born in 1932, daughter of Commander F. Peter du Cane, CBE, RN (1901-84), of Seamark, Glendore, Co Cork, head of that landed gentry family, and his wife the former Victoria Geraldine Pole-Carew (1904-87), scion of the Pole baronets; and married 25 September, 1979, David Randolph Moray Stuart, 2nd Viscount Stuart of Findhorn (born 20 June, 1924_, son of James Stuart, the 1st Viscount, CH, MVO, MC, PC (1897-1971), sometime Govt Chief Whip, Sec of State for Scotland, cr a Visc in 1959, by his wife the former Lady Rachel Cavendish, OBE (died 2 Oct, 1977), 4th daughter of the 9th Duke of Devonshire, KG, GCMG, GCVO, PC (1868-1938). Her husband succeeded as 2nd Viscount Stuart of Findhorn, 20 Feb, 1971, and died 24 Nov 1999.
