The engagement was announced 7 January, 2023, between William Jonathan Francis Portal (born 1 Jan, 1987), son and heir of Sir Jonathan Francis Portal, 6th Baronet (born 13 Jan, 1953), of Ashe, Hampshire, and Lady Portal (nee Louisa Caroline Hervery-Bathurst, born 25 Sept, 1959), scion of the baronets of that name, and Rhea Escriba, the only daughter of Mr and Mrs R. Escriba, of Cebu, Philippines.
