Julian John Evelyn Shuckburgh, who died 23 September, 2021, aged 81, was a publisher and Bach scholar, and a grandson maternally of the 3rd Viscount Esher [1881-1963].
He was born 30 July, 1940, son of Sir [Charles Arthur] Evelyn Shuckburgh, GCMG, CB [1909-1994], and his wife the former Hon Nancy Gladys Brett [1918-99]; and married firstly, in 1963 [div 1970], Faith Beatrice Wright, daughter of Sir Paul Herve Giraud Wright, KCMG OBE [1915-2005] and his wife the former Beatrice Frederika Rathbone, MBE [1910-2003]. He married secondly, in 1975, Sarah Elizabeth Willcocks, daughter of Sir David Valentine Willcocks, CBE, MC [1919-2015] and his wife the former Rachel Gordon Blyth.
He leaves a son, Benjamin and a daughter, Matilda, from his first marriage, and a son, Alexander, and two daughters, Amy and Hannah, from his second marriage.
