_. Gilda Gourlay of Kincraig [née Rames], who died 16 May, 2021, aged 92, was the widow of James Gourlay of Kincraig [28th Chief of Kincraig] [1930-2008].
The former Gilda Rames, daughter of Victor Rames, of New York, United States, was born 18 December, 1928. She married firstly, Mr Howard Newmark, by whom she had four children, Brooks, Wade, Paige, and Shane. She married 2ndly, 15 Oct, 1967, as his second wife, James Gourlay, son of Robert Gourlay, of Paisley, Renfrewshire, by his wife the former Irene Wolff, by whom she had a son, Rory [born 1970], and a daughter, Tara [born 1969].
Her husband was Chief of the Gourlays of Kincraig from 1995 until his death. He was succeeded by a son of his first marriage.
