_.Sarah Josephine Gibson, who has died aged 98, was a scion of the Wells baronets.
She was born Sarah Josephine Wells, 10 March, 1922, twin with her brother Oliver, & was the second daughter of Sir [Sydney] Richard Wells, 1st Baronet [1879-1956], MP for the Bedford Div of Bedfordshire, 1922-45, by his wife the former Mary Dorothy Maltby [1886-1956], descended from the Copeland landed gentry family.
Sarah had seven brothers, Charles, Christopher, James, David, George, Thomas and Oliver, and an elder sister, Sydney. Three brothers were killed in action in WWII.
She married 24 June, 1947, Michael Oliver John Gibson (1915-2007) son of Lt-Col Alan Keith Gibson [d 1961], by his wife the former Dorothy Radcliffe Browne, scion of the Brownes of Buckland Fillegh landed family, the yst daughter of Leonard Gilbert Browne.
