The engagement was announced 17 September, 2005, between Maximilian William Fane (b. 1978), adopted son of Peter William Fane (b. 1939) of Chelsea, London, scion of the Earls of Westmorland, and Mrs Fane, & Lucinda C. Bailey, eldest dau of Mr & Mrs Richard Bailey, of Bodiam, East Sussex.
