Nigel Digby Sheffield, who died 27 December, 2025, aged 92, was a scion of the Sheffield baronets.
He was born 24 May, 1933, son of the Rev Arthur Digby Sheffield (1897-1975),and his wife the former Alice Katharine Scott (who died in 1982); and married 17 September, 1960, Helen Jane Ann Russell-French (born 1932), daughter of Lieutenant-Colonel Bernard Russell-French DSO (1885-1966), of Edgeworth, Gloucestershire, by his wife the former Alison Margot Read Bloomfield (1902-1967), by whom he had issue, a son, Timothy John Digby (born 19 Aug, 1966), and two daughters, Ann Margot (born 23 May, 1963), and Susan Margaret (born 29 May, 1965).
He was a great-grandson of Sir Robert Sheffield, 4th Baronet (1786-1862), of Normanby Park, Lincolnshire.
