Denise Adeane, who died 12th July 2009, was wife of the late
Charles Adeane, mother of Henry, Sarah and Lizzie, grandmother of
Madeline and Anthony. Funeral Service at St Peter's Church, Babraham,
on Tuesday 21st July at 10.30 a.m. Family flowers only.


She was the dau of Thomas N. Cole, of 47, Grosvenor Square, W.1, and
910, Fifth Avenue, New York. She married 1957 Charles Raymond Wyndham
ADEANE (1930-64) scion of the LG family of Babraham (the same family
as the late LP Baron Adeane, the royal courtier) and son of Col Sir
Robert Philip Wyndham Adeane (b 1905) and 1st wife Joyce Violet dau of
Rev Cyril Frederick Parry Burnett (LG Parry-Burnett of Perfeddgoed),
and had a son and two daughters as above.

_.The marriage took place 27 June, 2009, at Holy Innocents' Church, Foulsham, between Edward Michael Fitzalan Howard (b 1979), scion of the Dukes of Norfolk, son of Colonel Thomas Fitzalan Howard, of North Elmham, Norfolk, by his 1st wife the former Penelope Jan Walters (now Mrs Jeremy Jones, of Low Marishes, North Yorkshire), and Caroline E. Taylor, daughter of Mr Andrew Taylor, of Binham, Norfolk, and Mrs Anne Taylor, of Foulsham, Norfolk.

Edward is a grandson of the late Maj-Gen Lord Michael Fitzalan Howard (1916-2007), and a great-nephew of the 17th Duke of Norfolk, KG (1915-2002).

_.Marina Jane Novis (née Lee-Steere, b 1973), wife of Edward Novis, gave birth to a son, Oscar Alexander Louis, 1 July, 2009, a brother for Max and Sasha.

Marina is the 3rd dau of Gordon Ernest Lee-Steere, of Jayes Park, Ockley, Surrey, by his wife the former Mary Katherine Stuart, and is a granddaughter of Charles Augustus Lee-Steere (k/a 1940), by his wife the former Patience Hargreaves Pigott-Brown (b 1915), scion of the Pigott-Brown Baronets (cr 1903) .

He was born 15 Mar 1918, son of Field Marshal the 1st Earl Haig KT, GCB, OM, GCVO, KCIE (1861-1928), by his wife the former Hon Dorothy Maud Vivian DGStJ, Maid of Honour to Queen Victoria and Queen Alexandra (d. 18 Oct 1939), 2nd dau. of the 3rd Baron Vivian by his wife Louisa Alice Duff, only dau. of Robert George Duff, of Wellington Lodge, Ryde, Isle of Wight.

Hugh Geoffroy Millais b 1929 d 4 July 2009 m twice and had issue by his first marriage, 2 sons (both married, one with female issue the other with no issue) and a dau unmarried. He's the son of Hesketh Raoul le Jarderay Millais (1901-99) and his1st w Elinor Clare (d 1953) dau of late Allan Ronald Macdonell, of Montreal. Hesketh was the grandson of the painter Sir John Everett Millais 1st Bt by his wife who was previously married to the author John Ruskin.

After a failed relationship with Claire Kavanagh, who bore him a son out of wedlock (born March 2005), the nearly-60-year-old aristocrat has wed long-time girlfriend Mrs Fiona Handbury (nee Campbell), Australian-born mother of three. The civil ceremony took place at Haldon Belvedere, a folly near Exeter, followed by a reception at which William Cash and his wife Vanessa Neumann (formerly linked to Mick Jagger and William Stirling, nephew of the Marchioness of Salisbury) were present. The newly-weds are off on honeymoon in Biarritz.

Death of Lady Keswick, mother of Sir Chips, aged 98

_.Lady Keswick, who died 8 July, 2009, aged 98, was the widow of Sir William Johnston Keswick (1903-1990). She was born Mary Etheldreda Lindley, in 1911, a dau of the Rt Hon Sir Francis Oswald Lindley (1872-1950), by his wife the former Hon Etheldreda Fraser (1872-1949), dau of the 13th Lord Lovat (1828-87), by his wife nee Weld-Blundell, of that LG family. Of her siblings, Sarah was wife of the 9th Earl of Hardwicke, and Alice was wife of Sir Oscar Morland, and Bridget married Sir John McEwen, 1st Bart. She married Sir Wm, and leaves issue, viz:-(i) Henry Neville Lindley Keswick, b 1938, married 1985, his kinswoman, the Hon. Annabel Teresa Fraser, b 1957, d. of the 15th Lord Lovat; and (ii) Sir John Chippendale (Chips) Keswick, b 1940, who married 1966, Lady Sarah Ramsay, b 1945, d. of the 16th Earl of Dalhousie, KT, sometime Lord Chamberlain to Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother; and (iii) Simon Lindley Keswick, b 1942, married 1971, Emma Bridget Chetwode, b 1950, d. of Maj. George Frederick Laurence Hyde Villiers, 7th Earl of Clarendon, was b 2 Feb 1933, son and heir of George Herbert Arthur Edward Hyde Villiers, styled Lord Hyde (b. 6 May 1906; dvp. 27 Apr 1935), who mar. 18 Apr 1932 Hon Marion Feodorovna Louise Glyn CVO, Woman of the Bedchamber To Queen Elizabeth later Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother 1937-61 and Extra Woman 1961-70 (d. 13 Dec 1970), 1st dau. of Frederic [Glyn], 4th Baron Wolverton, by his wife Lady Edith Amelia Ward CBE, only dau. by his second wife of William [Ward], 1st Earl of Dudley. Succeeded to the peerages 13 Dec 1955, on the demise of his grandfather, the 6th Earl of Clarendon, KG, GCMG, GCVO, PC (1877-1955); married.17 Jul 1974 Jane Diana Dawson, dau. of Edward William Dawson, of The Old Rectory, Idmiston, Salisbury, co.
