The engagement was announced 7 February, 2026, between Jeremy Peter Saunders (born 14 December, 1996), elder son of Michael Potter Saunders (born August, 1963), of Cheney Longville, Shropshire, by his wife the former Katherine L. Peyton Jones (born 1964), scion of that landed gentry family, and Flora Clementine Slater (born 17 November, 1996), elder daughter of Simon Hugh Slater (born 1949), of Chelsea, London, and his wife the former Katherine Patricia Menzies (born 1960).
