The engagement was announced 7 February, 2026, between Oliver Charles Cotton (born 20 February, 1987), son of Richard Robert Cotton (born 10 January, 1956), scion of the Cotton baronets, now Viscounts Combermere, of Bramdean, Hampshire, and his wife the former Corin Wevers, & Mia Bridget Hadrill (born 1990), daughter of David J. Hadrill, of Brighton, East Sussex, and his wife Christine M. Gent.
