The engagement was announced 23 September, 2024, between Samuel David Watson Petty (born 1989), son of Ian Robert Watson Petty (born 1942), and his late wife Mrs Susan Mary Petty (nee Hedges), of Burley, Hampshire, & Louisa Henrietta Ann Currey (born 1990), third daughter of (Charles) Alistair Currey (born 1947), of Fulham, London, and his wife the former Hon Henrietta Mary Rosario Czernin (born 10 January, 1960), scion of the Barons Howard De Walden.
