The engagement was announced 20 September, 2024, between Jamie Alastair McIntyre of Sorn (born 1971), head of that landed gentry family of Sorn, Ayrshire, son of the late Robert Gordon McInyre (1931-1988), and his wife the former Rachel Watherston (now Mrs Charles May, of Northumberland), & Cleoni Victoria Greenall (born 1974), younger daughter of John D.T. Greenall (born 1939), of Dunure, Ayrshire, by his wife the former Margaret Anne Stewart.
Jamie McIntyre is a grandson paternally of James Gordon McIntyre, MC, born in 1896, a Scottish lawyer, Called to the Scottish Bar in 1922; King's Counsel 1936; Dean of the Faculty of Advocates, 1939-44; was a Senator of the College of Justice in Scotland 1944-63, who took the title *Lord Sorn* - but he was not a peer of Parliament. "Lord Sorn" married Madeline Scott Moncreiff, daughter of Robert Scott Moncrieff, of Downhill, of that Scotslanded gentry family.
It will be Jamie McIntyre's second marriage. By his first union to Jemma Folley, he has a son, Archie (born 13 September, 2011), and two daughters, Lola Violet (born 20 Apr, 2009), and Ottilie Rose (twin with her brother Archie).
