Sir Alastair Stewart of Strathgarry, 3rd Baronet, died 13 February, 2022. He was 96.
Alastair Robin Stewart was born 26 September, 1925, the second son of Sir Kenneth Dugald Stewart of Strathgarry, GBE, 1st Baronet [created 1960] [1882-1972], and his wife the former Noel Brodribb [d 1 Mar, 1949]; and succeeded to the baronetcy, 17 Oct, 1992, on the death of his elder brother, Sir David, the 2nd Baronet [1913-1992].
He married 9 May, 1953, Patricia Helen Merrett, daughter of John Alfred Merrett, of Forest Green, Surrey, by whom he had issue, a son, John Kenneth Alexander Stewart, younger of Glengarry [1961-2011], and three daughters, Judith [b 1954], Lucy [b 1956], and Catherine [b 1958].
The baronetcy now becomes extinct.
