_. The writer Nicholas Mosley, 7th Baronet and 3rd Baron Ravensdale, died 28 February, 2017. He was 93.
He was born 25 June, 1923, the eldest son of Sir Oswald Mosley, Bt, the British fascist leader, by his first wife the former Lady Cynthia Blanche Curzon, daughter of the 1st Marquess Curzon of Kedleston [who was also 1st Baron Ravensdale].
Mosley succeeded his maternal aunt, Lady Mary Irene Curzon suo jure 2nd Baroness Ravensdale, in the barony, 9 February, 1966; married firstly, 14 Nov, 1947 [div 1974], Rosemary Laura Salmond [d 1991], dau of Marshal of the RAF Sir John Salmond; married secondly, 19 Jul, 1974, Mrs Verity Elizabeth Bailey [nee Raymond].
From his first marriage he had three sons, Shaun, Ivo, and Robert and one daughter, Clare, and from his second marriage he had a son, Marius.
He succeeded his father in the Mosley baronetcy, 3 Dec, 1980.
Lord Ravensdale's eldest son, the Hon Shaun Mosley, who was b 5 Aug, 1949, died in 2009. The peerage, created in 1911, and the baronetcy, created in 1781, now pass to Shaun's eldest son, Daniel Nicholas Mosley, born 10 Oct, 1982.
