The engagement was announced 16 March, 2017, between Hew North Robert Dalrymple-Hamilton [b 1981], scion of the Earls of Stair [Peerage of Scotland, cr 1703], elder son of Mr [North] John Frederick Dalrymple-Hamilton, OBE, TD [b 1950], of Bargany, Ayrshire, by his wife the former Sally-Anne How, & Miss Lucinda Catherine Goucher [b 1987], daughter of Mr James T. Goucher, of Baden Hall, Staffordshire, by his wife the former Deborah C. Chambers.
Hew's father is a member of the Queen's Body Guard for Scotland [Royal Company of Archers] and was a Page of Honour to Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother 1964-66.
