The engagement was announced 13 March, 2017, between Matthew Peter Hives, 3rd Baron Hives [born 25 May 1971], son of tha late Hon Peter Anthony Hives [1921-74], by his wife the former Dinah Wilson-North [the Hon Mrs Dinah Hives, of Digswell, Hertfordshire], & Dr Davina Meredith, youngest daughter of Mr David Meredith, of Shinrone, Co Offaly, & Mrs Sandra Meredith, of Birr, Co Offaly.
Lord Hives is the third holder of the peerage cr in 1950. He succeeded to the peerage on his uncle's death, 8 Oct, 1997.
