Rear-Admiral Raymond Haydn Tribe, CB, MBE, DL, died at Moulsford, Oxfordshire, 29 July, 2005. He was aged 97.He was born 9 April, 1908, son of Thomas and Gillian Ada Tribe.Career: - - ->>Served in World War II (received the MBE (Mil) and was mentioned in despatches twice); Comander 1947; Captain 1955; Rear-Admiral, 1962; Inspector-General Fleet Maintenance, and Chief Staff Officer (Technical) to the Commander-in-Chief, Home Fleet, 1962-65; retired from the Royal Navy in Sept, 1965; he received the Distinguished Battle Service Medal of the Soviet Union; a Berkshire County Councillor, 1970-77; appointed a Deputy Lieutenant for the County of Berkshire, 1975.He married in 1938, Alice Mary Golby. No children of the union.The funeral takes place at St Mary and St Nicholas Church, Compton Newbury,8 August, 2005
