_. Henrietta Reid (nee Sitwell) scion of the Sitwell Baronets, and wife of Dickon F. Reid, gave birth to a daughter, Violet Louise, 4 February, 2014, a sister for Kitty Edith, who was b 1 July, 2011.

Dickon Reid is the son of the late Mr Michael Reid and of Mrs Michael Reid, of Burwash, East Sussex, and Henrietta is a daughter of the late Francis Trajan Sacheverell Sitwell (1935-2004), of Weston Hall, Towcester, by his wife Susanna Carolyn Cross, and sister of the current baronet.

HRH Princess Leonore Lilian Maria of Sweden, Duchess of Gotland (b 2014)

.__Princess Madeleine of Sweden, Duchess of Halsingland & Gastrikland (b 10 June 1982), younger daughter of His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden (b 13 Apr 1946) and Queen Silvia of Sweden (b 23 Dec, 1943) and wife of Christopher Paul O'Neill (b London, 27 June, 1974), gave birth to a daughter, HRH Princess Leonore Lilian Maria, Duchess of Gotland, at New York, 20 Feb, 2014.

Mr O'Neill is the son of the late Paul O'Neill (d 2004), by his wife the former Eva Maria Walter. He is a half brother of Tatjana Schoeller, wife of (John) Henry Erland d'Abo (b 7 Oct 1953), scion of the landed family of that name, and a grandson maternally of John Henry Montagu (Manners) 9th Duke of Rutland.

Princess Madeleine is a great granddaughter of Princess Margaret of Connaught, and a great-great granddaughter of HRH The Prince Arthur Duke of Connaught & Strathearn (Peerage of the UK, cr 1874; extinct 1943), third son of HM Queen Victoria, &c.

Cdr Christopher Henry Fothergill, RN 1921-2014

_. Cdr Christopher Henry Fothergill, RN, who died 21 February, 2014, aged 92, was descended from the Earls of Radnor. He was b 15 Oct, 1921, son of Capt Henry Maclean Fothergill by his wife the former Lucy Bouverie-Pusey, scion of the Earls of Radnor, and married 6 Feb, 1965, Linda Kathleen Browne (b 2 May, 1930), a co~heir to the Barony of Braye (Peerage of England, cr 1529), dau of Claude Henry Browne by his wife Vera Cecilia ( a granddaughter of the 5th Baron Braye). Cdr Fothergill leaves 2 sons, Nicholas and Alexander. 

His elder son is destined to succeed as Baron Braye.

_. The Hon (John) Vincent Weir, scion of the Barons Inverforth (Baron UK, cr 1919) who died 15 February, 2014, aged 79, was late chairman of the Weir Group, and heir presumptive to his nephew, the 4th Baron Inverforth.

He was born 8 Feb, 1935, second son of the 2nd Baron Inverforth (1897-1975 ), by his wife the former Iris Beryl Vincent, and was yr brother of the 3rd Baron (1932- 1982). He was educated at Malvern, and was unm.

_. Caroline E. Fitzalan Howard (nee Taylor), wife of Edward Michael Fitzalan Howard (b 1979), scion of the Dukes of Norfolk, gave birth to a daughter, Camilla Alice, 12 Feb, 2014, a sister for Ella.

Edward is the son of Colonel Thomas Fitzalan Howard, of North Elmham, Norfolk, by his 1st wife the former Penelope Jan Walters (now Mrs Jeremy Jones, of Low Marishes, North Yorkshire), and Caroline is a daughter of Mr Andrew Taylor, of Binham, Norfolk, and Mrs Anne Taylor, of Foulsham, 

Norfolk.

Edward is a grandson of the late Maj-Gen Lord Michael Fitzalan Howard (1916-2007), and a great-nephew of the 17th Duke of Norfolk, KG (1915-2002).

The 2nd Baron Moran, KCMG 1924-2014

_. The 2nd Baron Moran, KCMG, who died at King Edward VII Hospital for Officers, London, 14 February, 2014. He was 89.

He served as British Ambassador to Hungary and Portugal and was British High Commissioner to Canada, 1981-84.

Lord Moran was the son of Dr Charles McMoran Wilson, Winston Churchill's personal physician, who was ennobled in 1943.

Richard John McMoran Wilson was born 22 Sept, 1924, son of the then Dr Charles Wilson by his wife the former Dorothy Dufton, who died in 1983.

Succeeded to the barony on his father's demise, 12 Apr, 1977. Elected to the House of Lords in 1999.

Married 29 Dec, 1948, Shirley Rowntree Harris, dau of George Harris, MC, of Bossal Hall, co York, by whom he had issue, 2 sons, James & William, and a daughter, Juliet.

The peerage devolves upon his elder son, the Hon James McMoran Wilson, who was born 6 Aug, 1952, who is married to a scion of the Barons Polwarth, and is father of 2 sons.

The 7th Viscount Hardinge 1960-2014

_. The 7th Viscount Hardinge (Peerage of the UK, cr 1846), died suddenly, 11 February, 2014. He was 54.

Andrew Hartland Hardinge was born 7 January, 1960, a younger son of the 5th Viscount Hardinge (1929-1984), by his 1st wife, the former Zoe Ann Molson, and succeeded to the family honours on the death of his elder brother, Charles, 6th Viscount, who died 18 Jan, 2004, aged 47.

The 7th Viscount married in 1990, Sophia Mary Bagnell, dau of Capt William David Armstrong Bagnell, by whom he had issue, 2 sons, Thomas and Jamie, and one daughter, Melissa.

The son, Thomas Henry de Montarville Hardinge, who was born 19 June, 1993, now succeeds as 8th Viscount, and 10th Baronet (cr 1801).

Sir Jeremy John Fortescue Boles, 3rd Baronet 1932-2014

_. Sir Jeremy John Fortescue Boles, 3rd Baronet, died 15 February, 2014, aged 82.

The baronetcy was created in 1922 for Dennis Boles, Conservative MP for Wellington Div of Somerset 1911-18, and for Taunton 1918-21.

He was born 9 Jan, 1932, son of Capt Sir Gerald Fortescue Boles, 2nd Baronet, who died on active service, 9 Apr, 1945, by his wife the former Violet Blanche Hall Parlby, scion of that landed family.

He married 1stly,16 Apr, 1955 (div 1970), Dororthy Jane Worswick, by whom he had issue; married 2ndly, 1970 (div 1981)Elizabeth Gildroy Shaw; married 3rdly, 1982, Mrs Marigold Aspey (nee Seckington).

He is survived by three children of the 1st marriage, a son, Richard Fortescue Boles, who was born 12 Dec, 1958, who now succeeds to the baronetcy, and a yr son David (b 1967), and a dau, Sarah Jane (b 1956).

He was born in 1922, a son of Lt-Col William Grenville Irvine-Fortescue, MC {and Bar}, Royal Engineers (1897-1980), by his 1st wife the former Joan Evelyn Mary Powell; married 1stly, Bridget Unity Awdry (d 1981), daughter of Colonel Edmund Portman Awdry, by whom he had issue; married 2ndly, 1983 (div 1987) Anne van Gruisen. Lady Mary Cecilia Clayton 1917-2014

_. The Lady Mary Cecilia Clayton, who died 13 February, 2014, aged 96, was a first cousin of Her Majesty the Queen.

She was born Mary Cecilia Leveson-Gower, 12 Dec, 1917, first child of the Hon William Spencer Leveson-Gower (1880-1953), a younger son of the 2nd Earl Granville (Peerage of the UK, cr 1833), by his wife the former Lady Rose Constance Bowes Lyon, GCVO (d 1967), an elder sister of HM Queen Elizabeth, consort of King George VI.

In 1939 her father succeeded his brother as 4th Earl Granville. The 4th Earl, KG, KCVO, was sometime Gov of N Ireland; Vice~Admiral. who was created KG in Dec, 1952., and who d. 25 June, 1953.

Lady Mary's younger sibling was the late 5th Earl Granville 

She married 7 July, 1956, Samuel Wittewronge Clayton, yr son of Brig-Gen Sir Gilbert Faliingham Clayton, KCMG, KBE, CB, by whom she had issue a son, Gilbert (b 1958), and a daughter Rose (1960).

A Service will be held at the Royal Chapel of All Saints, Windsor Great Park, Friday 7 March.

Angela Galliers-Pratt (nee Cayzer), who died 18 Feb, 2014, aged 87, was a scion of the Cayzer baronets (Bt, UK, cr 1904); she was born 6 Mar 1926, daughter of Sir Charles Cayzer, 3rd Baronet (1896-1940), by his wife the former Beatrice Eileen Meakin (d 1981); married 19 Apr, 1950, Anthony Malcolm Galliers-Pratt, by whom she had three sons, Rupert, Nigel and Anthony. Her grandson, George Galliers-Pratt, recently married in a high profile society wedding, Arabella Musgrave. friend of the Duke of Cambridge, &c.
