_. Lady Rivett-Carnac (nee Reiko Kiuchi), wife of Sir Jonathan James Rivett-Carnac, 10th Baronet (born 1962), gave birth to a daughter, Isla, 14 Feb, 2014.

Sir Jonathan is the elder son of Commander Sir Miles Rivett-Carnac, 9th Bt, RN (1933-2009), by his wife the former April Sally Villar, now April, Lady Rivett-Carnac, of Alresford, Hampshire, & Reiko is a daughter of Setsuko Kiuchi San, of Tokyo, Japan. 

The baronetcy was created in 1836 (UK). Sir Jonathan is a brother of Lulu Guinness.

Major-General David Boyd Alexander-Sinclair of Freswick, CB 1927-2014

_. Major-General David Boyd Alexander-Sinclair of Freswick, died 7 Feb, 2014, aged 86. Old Etonian Alexander-Sinclair was born 2 May, 1927; was commissioned into the Rifle Brigade in 1946. He was GOC 1st Armoured Div from 1975, and Chief of Staff, UK Land Forces in 1978. His last military role was Commandant of the Staff College, Camberley, 1980-82. Married 1958, Ann Ruth Daglish, by whom he had issue, 2 sons and one daughter. Service of Thanksgiving at St Peter's Church, Hammersmith, London, 26 Feb, 2014.

Ludovic Henry Nicholas Raphael Savile (b 2014)

_.  Victoria Sian Savile (b 1979, nee Forman Hardy), wife of the Hon James Hugh Hope John Savile (b. 21 Aug 1976), scion of the Earls of Mexborough, gave birth to a second son, Ludovic Henry Nicholas Raphael, 7 February, 2014, a brother for Arthur.

James Savile is a son of the 8th Earl of Mexborough (b 6 May 1931), by his 2nd wife Mrs Catherine Joyce Vivian (former wife of Nicholas Crespigny Laurence [Vivian], 6th Baron Vivian), yst. dau. of James Kenneth Hope CBE, of West Park, Lanchester, Co. Durham, & Victoria is a dau of Mr & Mrs Nicholas Forman Hardy, of Car Colston, Nottinghamshire.

Michael Duncan Alec Cunningham-Reid 1928-2014

. Michael Cunningham-Reid, who died at his home at Karen, Nairobi, Kenya, 10 Feb, 2014, was a nephew of Edwina Countess Mountbatten of Burma.

Michael Duncan Alec Cunningham-Reid was born in 1928, son of Capt Alec Stratford Cunningham-Reid (1895-1977), by his first wife the former Hon Ruth Mary Clarisse Ashley (later Lady Delamere), daughter of Wilfred Ashley, 1st and last Baron Mount Temple, by his wife the former Amalia Mary Maud Cassel, heiress daughter of the millionaire financier Sir Ernest Cassel.

Cunningham-Reid's aunt Edwina Ashley married Lord Louis Mountbatten in 1922.

He married firstly, in 1954, Mary Bilyard-Leake, by whom he had issue, a son, Duncan, and a daughter, Fiona; married 2ndly, 1964 Dorothea Helen Walton; m.3rd 1974 Dorothie Elfride Blumenkamp.

The funeral will take place at Hippo Point Estate, Lake Naivasha, Kenya, Sunday 16 February.

Gawain Basil Rowan Hamilton (1884-1947), by his wife Phyllis Frances Blackburn, who was a daughter of the Hon Robert Blackburn, styled Lord Blackburn (d 1944), a Lord of Sessions in Scotland, by his wife the former Lady Constance Frances Bowes Lyon (1865-1951), aunt of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, daughter of the 13th Earl of Strathmore & Kinghorne, &c.

He married 4 Sept, 1956, Mary Bridget Blakiston-Houston (b 1932), scion of the baronets of that name, dau of Lt-Col John Blakiston-Houston (1898-1984), by his wife the former Lettice Arden Stobart, by whom he had issue, Catherine (b 1957), James Hamish John (b 1961), and Patrick Gawaine (1964-2000).

The funeral is at Stenton Church, Dunbar, East Lothian, 18 Feb.

Mrs Pandora Delevingne is a daughter of Sir Jocelyn Edward Greville Stevens, Knt, CVO, the publisher, by his 1st wife the former Jane Armyne Sheffield, LVO, sometime Lady-in-Waiting to HRH The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, and scion of the Sheffield Baronets (cr. 1755).

_. Babette Lady Millais, who died 31 January, 2014, aged 91, was the widow of Sir Ralph Millais, 5th Baronet (Bt, cr 1885), who died in 1992.

She was born Barbara Irene Salt, 11 Oct, 1922, scion of the Salt Baronets (Bt, UK, cr 1899), a dau of Maj-Gen Harold Francis Salt, CB, CMG, DSO (1879-1971), by his wife the former Phyllis Dulce Cameron (who d. 1965), and married 1stly, 1941, Maj John De Grey Tatham Warter, MC, who was killed in action in 1942; married 2ndly, 1946 (div 1972), Victor William Henry Sefton-Smith; married 3rdly, 1975, as his 3rd wife, Sir Ralph Regnault Millais, 5th Baronet, descended from the artist honoured with a baronetcy by Queen Victoria, who died in 1992.

Lady Millais leaves issue from her second marriage, Ewan, Susan and Lucy.

The funeral takes place at Chelsea Old Church, Thursday 13 Feb.

_. The Lord Wedgwood, who died 29 Jan, 2014, from cardiac failure, in Philadelphia, USA, aged 59, was the 4th baron in the peerage of the UK (cr 1942).

Piers Anthony Weymouth Wedgwood was born 20 Sept, 1954, son of Hugh, 3rd Baron (1921-70), by his second wife, the former Jane Weymouth Poulton.

Succeeded to the peerage on his father's demise, 18 Apr, 1970, and attended the House of Lords until the purging of the bulk of the hereditary peers in 1999.

Married 30 May, 1985, Mary Regina Margaret Kavanagh Quinn, daughter of Judge Edward Quinn, of Philadelphia, by whom he had one daughter, the Hon Alexandra Wedgwood, who was born in 1987.

The heir presumptive to the title is the fourth baron's second cousin, Antony John Wedgwood, who was born 31 January, 1944.

_. Pamela Mary Duncan Smith, who died 1 Feb, 2014, aged 91, was mother of Mr Iain Duncan Smith, the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, and the Conservative MP for Chingford and Woodford Green.

The former Pamela Summers, a ballerina, she married Group Capt W.G.G. Duncan Smith in 1946. Their son, Iain, was born in Edinburgh, in 1954.

Her son married the Hon Elizabeth Fremantle, daughter of the 5th Baron Cottesloe, &c.

The funeral is at St Albans Chapel, Winslow, Buckinghamshire, 8 Feb.
