John Flinders Highley died 4 August, 2026.
He was born in 1948, son of Samuel Miller Highley (1906-1981), and his wife the former Dora Sophia Beatrice Flinders (1913-1981), and married 17 September, 1977, Harriet Louisa Aykroyd (born 15 October, 1951), scion of the Aykroyd baronets, daughter of Colonel Harold Hammond Aykroyd, OBE, MC, TD (1896-1974), and his second wife the former Kathleen Ellen Tyrrell-Gray (1914-2005), by whom he had two sons, Samuel (born 1981), and Henry (born 1985).
