The engagement was announced 8 August, 2026, between Austin Z. Bannister, son of Mr Garth Bannister, of Brisbane, Australia, and Ms Catherine Dupré, of Biggar, Scotland, and India Hebe Vanda Whitson (born 2004), younger daughter of James Alexander Whitson (1973-2024), descended from the Wrixon-Becher baronets, and his wife Ms Tamara Whitson (nee O'Connor), of Berwick St Leonard, Wiltshire.
