Charles Justin Campbell died 16 August, 2026. He was descended from the Abercromby baronets.
His interesting death notice in the Daily Telegraph read: "Campbell: Charles Justin, died gratefully on 16th August with his two sons and a couple of diminutive witches by his bedside. Son of Sir Ralph and Joan, loving husband of more than 50 years to Ann Sophia. Born in Baghdad, 14 different schools, Bahamian policeman, art gallery owner, property guru, grass court legend and lover of bonfires. Adored by his whole family and many friends far and wide. Never better. Never better."
He was a son of Sir Ralph Abercromby Campbell, Kt (1906-1989), Chief Justice of the Bahamas, by his first wife the former Joan Childers Blake.
Charles was a great-great-grandson of Sir Robert Abercromby, 5th Baronet (1784-1855).
