William Pitcairn Nunneley, who died 23 April, 2025, was a former head of stewarding at the British Horseracing Authority from 2002 to 2013, and husband of one of the Princess Royal's ladies in waiting.
He was born in 1948, son of Major David Charles William Nunneley (1918-1971), and his wife the former Rosemary Joan Monro (1917-2009); and married firstly, 1975 (div) Fiona Mary Grant, and married 2ndly, 1990, the equine sculptor, Caroline Anne Wallace (born 1950), Lady-in-Waiting to HRH The Princess Royal, and he leaves issue from his first marriage, a son, Andrew Pitcairn Nunneley (born May, 1978), and daughters, Miranda Fiona (b 1980), and Olivia Lucy (b 1986).
