Sonagh Margaret Patricia Asplin died 1 May, 2025. She was a scion of the Burges Lumsden landed gentry family.
A daughter of Capt Patrick Claud Burges Lumsden (1905-1984), and his wife the former Margaret Fitzgerald Lumsden (1905-1982), head of that Scots landed gentry family; she married in 1970, (Alexander) Jonas Brett Asplin (1938-2003), by whom she had issue, three daughters, (1) Rostella Margaret Olive (b 1972), (2) Marion Flora Celia (b 1975), and (3) Lucy Amber (b 1979).
