Marjorie Ann, Baroness Graves, who died in Tasmania, Australia, 16 April, 2025, aged 92, was the widow of the 9th Baron Graves.
She was born Marjorie Ann Holder, 31 May, 1932, daughter of Dr Sidney Ernest Holder, of Wallingford, Berkshire, and married 13 March, 1957, the then Evelyn Paget Graves (born 17 May, 1926, son of Alweyn Montague Graves (1892-1950), by his wife the former Kathleen Eleanor Cowie Priest (who died 1947). Her husband succeeded his cousin once removed, the 8th Baron (aka Peter Graves, the actor), in 1994, and died 6 December, 2002, aged 76.
The Graves peerage (Peerage of Ireland) was created in 1794.
Lady Graves leaves issue, a son, Timothy, the 10th Baron Graves (born 27 March, 1960), and two daughters, the Hon Wendy (born 9 July, 1958), and the Hon Philippa (born 14 Feb, 1962), and was predeceased by a son, the Hon Simon (born 29 May, 1963, died 4 March, 1997.)
