Peter Henry Arthur Stanley, who died 5 February, 2025, aged 91, was a scion of the Earls of Derby.
He was born 17 March, 1933, son of Colonel Frederick Arthur Stanley (1905-1978), and his wife the former Anne Jane Collins (1913-1997), a descendant of the Dukes of Roxburghe; and married 1stly, 9 May 1965 (div 1985), Gunilla Margaretha Antonia Sophie Gräfin Douglas, daughter of Count Wilhelm Douglas (1907-1987), of Schloss Langenstein, Baden & his wife Ursula von Ellrichshausen (1913-1972); and married 2ndly, 1990 (div. 1992), Lucy Barnett, daughter of James Barnett Jr, of California; and married 3rdly, 1999, as her third husband, the Hon Caroline Mary Renton (born 1948), former wife of (1) Peter Dodds Parker, & (2) Robin Warwick Anthony Parr, & daughter of the life peer the Baron Renton, KBE, TD, PC, QC (1908-2007), & his wife the former Claire Cicely Duncan (1923-1986).
Peter Stanley leaves issue from his first marriage, a son, Robin (born 20 Apr, 1968), and a daughter, Louisa (born 17 Nov, 1966).
